I'm guessing you owed on the taxes. We invariably get a refund. Yeah, I know I don't manage money well and let IRS have it free for a year and then some ...

We got burned by filing for an extension last year. The problem was, I totally forgot about it and did get the return filed in August. So we faced some pretty hefty penalties when I finally remembered and filed. Yikes!

I do use that and other software and have notes/calender items etc. Unfortunately, I find it hard during the work day to do those. And places like doctor's offices are notorious for long lunches (at least my pediatrician's office - if you call before 9 am, or from 11.30-1.10 pm or after 4.30 pm, it goes straight to the answering service). To find time, in small windows like that, is next to impossible. Many of those are prime times for work meetings too .... I do most of what I can online, (which I can do on my own schedule) but these appointments, insurance follow ups and such other things are still not there ...

Aww, you were in my neck of the woods! Sorry it was so drippy but we did have our first hot/sunny day of the year on Saturday. :)

I found Microsoft Outlook to be a very useful organizational tool. The Calendar, Task, and Notes features are outstanding. The only downside is that I find I never have to remember anything anymore, which does little to my memory retention skills (or lack thereof). :)
